Views from an 8 hour drive through China

We had an 8 hour bus drive from the airport to our school and while most of the girls slept—all I could do was stare out the window. It’s a good thing I came to China, because everything here interests me so much and I don’t want to miss a minute of it. Most of these pictures are of modern-day China (I am way excited to visit historic China) and at the beginning of the drive it was mostly just buildings, skyscrapers, and construction. But the farther away we got from Shanghai—the greener and prettier everything became.

Something interesting about China is their random skyscrapers. These buildings stand in a row by themselves, with almost nothing else tall around them; they look to only be about 4 rooms wide, but they have to be over 20 floors tall. I found out they’re actually apartment buildings. IMG_2867IMG_2873IMG_2871IMG_2879IMG_2854IMG_2894IMG_2883IMG_2890IMG_2897IMG_2900IMG_2903IMG_2918IMG_2922IMG_2923IMG_2925
My city and school—so happy to finally see these signs.
